
The Mighty Chuck Eye Chop

Pre Heat Oven To 180 degrees C (when ready to cook)
1, Remove your chuck eye from the fridge a few hours before you intend to cook to allow it to come up to room temperature.
2, Remove your chuck eye from the packaging, place on a board and pat dry with kitchen roll.
3, Rub the whole steak with a little olive oil and season generously with salt and black pepper.
4, Place an ovenproof pan on the hob over a high heat and allow the pan to heat up.
5, Once the pan is hot carefully place the chop in the pan. Cook on each side for around 3 minutes then hold the bone and brown the edges. You want to create a crust around the whole steak.
6, Place the pan in the centre of the oven for around 15 minutes at 180 degrees C. Cook until the internal temp of the steak is 55 degrees C for rare, 60 for medium and 70 for well done.
7, Remove from the pan and place on a board to rest for 8 mins.
8, Carve into slices across the grain of the meat and serve.
9, Fight over who is going to nibble on the bone!
