Simple Braised Beef

INGREDIENTS

500g Braising Steak https://trewayfarm.co.uk/product/frozen-braising-steak-1kg-bundle/

500ml Beef Stock https://trewayfarm.co.uk/product/potts-beef-stock/

Beef Dripping For Cooking https://trewayfarm.co.uk/product/treway-grass-fed-beef-dripping/

1, Place an ovenproof dish on the hob with a good knob of dripping over a medium/high heat. Allow the dripping to melt and the pan to get hot.

2, Lay the braising steak in the pan and brown throughly on both sides – brown more than in the photo – I was being super impatient!

3, Add the beef stock and rosemary.

4, Cover tightly with foil and pop in the oven at 180 degrees C for 1.5 hrs or until the beef is tender and falling apart. Check regularly and add a little water if necessary.

5, You can serve at this stage or you can remove the beef from the pan and make the cooking liquor into a thicker gravy – I cheat and will add a few gravy granules!

Tips:

Serve with greens and mash for a perfectly simple supper.
