Herby Rose Veal Smash Burgers

INGREDIENTS

X1 500g Pack Rose Veal Mince

X1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs – I like to use Herb De Provence

Sea Salt and Black Pepper To Taste

Your Favourite Cheese To Top – I used cheddar

1, Remove the mince from the packet and place in a good size bowl.

2, Add the herbs, salt and pepper to the mince.

3, Mix all the ingredients together well. I use a squidging and kind of kneading motion to make sure the herbs are evenly distributed.

4, Measure into 4 equal portions. Then roll the portions into balls and then with the palm of your hand press down and ‘smash’ the balls into rough burger shapes.

5, Place a frying pan over a medium to high heat and wait until the pan is hot before adding the burgers.

6, Add the burgers and cook for a few minutes on each side. Aim for a nice caramelised crust on the burger so don’t flip them over to soon!

7, Add your cheese to the top of each burger and place the pan under a grill until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Tips:

This is a perfect recipe to get the children involved. They love mixing the ingredients and smashing the burgers!

Add some chilli flakes for some heat or mix up the herbs for some Ras El Hanut for a Moroccan version.

We like to serve ours with a simple side salad or pop in a brioche burger bun for the ultimate veal burger experience!
