Christmas Range Is Now Live

Festive Trimming Hamper

Christmas is now definitely on the way and we are pleased to launch our festive range.

After last Christmas the butcher’s A.R Day in Portscatho who have made our butcher’s packs for several years closed. This left us in a bit of a quandary but luckily earlier this year St Piran’s Pork joined the Truro farmer’s market.

After spending many happy hours as market pitch neighbours every Saturday. I’m delighted to be able to work with Nick and his family to bring you locally produced butcher’s packs this Christmas.

The Dymond family farm just a few miles from Treway near the village of St Erme. Their ethos of ‘Happy Pigs, Happy Planet, Happy Eating’ perfectly matches our very own outlook on farming. The pigs are raised on a diet of locally grown cereals and pulses in a farm environment that puts the welfare of the pigs first and foremost. They farm using regenerative practices which work in harmony with nature and puts more back into the environment than it takes out.

Butcher’s packs include Sausage Meat, Chipolatas and Streaky Bacon and can be bought in two sizes ‘Minor’ and ‘Major’.

Or why not get fully prepared for the big day with one of our new ‘Treway Festive Trimmings Hamper’. This includes the butcher pack plus Treway Beef Dripping for the crispiest roast potatoes with the fluffiest centres. Cranberry sauce because we all know that no Christmas feast is complete without cranberry! Plus a pack of cranberry, orange and roast chestnut stuffing mix. Which you can use to make our new ‘Christmas Stuffing Cake’ recipe https://trewayfarm.co.uk/recipe/christmas-stuffing-cake/

Whilst we know how so many of you have enjoyed our own homemade Treway Cranberry Sauce in the past we have made the decision to source cranberry sauce this year from Tracklements. We have thoroughly taste tested it and the sauce is delicious. Truth be known we have ended up making cranberry sauce in the earlier hours for the past couple of years and with the expansion of the turkey enterprise we just can’t physically do this anymore. Last year I could be found sobbing into a vat of cranberry at 2am on 19th December!

The countdown definitely feels like it is on with just 13 weeks left until Christmas Day!
