Help us to support the refugees of ukraine

Like everyone we are totally appalled by the abhorrent situation in Ukraine, the senseless killing of completely innocent civilians who have found themselves plunged into a needless war. Families are being split up as they flee into a totally unknown future in fear of their lives. I just can’t even begin to imagine what that could possibly feel like.
Last night I sat and watched the news in floods of tears and the tears are flowing once again as I type this blog now. It showed a clip of a young family lying dead in the road after being hit by a shell as they fled their home in Mariupol. A mother and father along with their son and daughter surrounded by their possessions, the children looked almost exactly the same age as our mini farmers.
So Will and I have decided to donate 20% of all revenue from our beef sales this week to the Disasters and Emergency Committee. The money will go to help meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.
£30 can provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for 1 month
£50 can provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm
£100 can provide emergency food for 2 families for 1 month
We will also have a bucket in the shop on Friday and at the farmer’s market on Saturday if you would like to add a further donation. Alternatively you can make a payment to us through PayPal which we can add into the funds raised. We will make the donation to the DEC on Sunday and will share the total amount of money raised with you all.
